The Five to Nine daybed draws inspiration from 1900s scenic
designs that portrayed a place for creative escape – a space as physical
as it was mental – the studios of the great artists. Designed by
Milan-based Studiopepe, the Five to Nine daybed is the star player in
a fictitious artist’s studio, a cosmopolitan, contemporary space, cradle of
creative genius. With bolster pillows that run its entire length, the daybed
has a bold personality and is super-versatile. Thanks to the array of
upholstery options possible, it can fill many needs and fit in different
settings – upholstered in leather, for a minimalist Bauhaus effect, or in
mohair velvet for maximum comfort and enveloping softness. The wood
seat structure has an open-pore painted finish, with turned legs and
achieves its fullest expression once the bolster pillows, one by one, have
been set in place, along with the armrest and backrest (available in
two sizes), and the round side table with surfaces in concrete or metal,
in various colors and finishes for a more textured effect.

Das Daybed Five to Nine ist von den Kulissen des 20. Jahrhunderts
inspiriert, die sowohl einen physischen als auch einen mentalen Raum
der kreativen Flucht darstellten: die Ateliers der großen Meister der Kunst.
Das vom Mailänder Unternehmen Studiopepe entworfene Daybed Five
to Nine ist der Protagonist eines imaginären zeitgenössischen Künstlerate-
liers, eines anspruchsvollen Raums, der Wiege des kreativen Genies.
Das Daybed besteht aus Rollenkissen über die gesamte Länge und ist ein
Produkt mit einer starken Identität, das dank der verschiedenen mögli-
chen Bezüge für unterschiedliche Verwendungszwecke und Umgebungen
sehr vielseitig ist: aus Leder, das an den essentiellen Bauhaus-Stil erinnert,
oder aus Mohair-Samt für mehr Komfort und einhüllende Weichheit.
Die Sitzfläche aus offenporig lackiertem Holz mit gedrechselten Beinen
wird durch das individuelle Einsetzen der Kissenrollen, der Arm- und
Rückenlehne, die in zwei Größen erhältlich sind, und des runden Beistellti-
schen mit Metall- oder Zementoberfläche vervollständigt, der in verschie-
denen Farben und Ausführungen erhältlich ist, um einen materiellen
Effekt zu erzielen.

siècle qui représentaient un espace d’évasion créative tant physique que
mental : les ateliers des grands maitres de l’art. Signé par l’agence
milanaise Studiopepe, le daybed Five to Nine est le protagoniste d’un
atelier d’artiste contemporain imaginaire, un espace sophistiqué, berceau
du génie créatif. Composé d’une succession de coussins rouleaux sur
toute sa longueur, ce daybed se présente comme un produit à l’identité
forte mais hyper-polyvalent quant à son usage et à sa destination,
grâce aux différents revêtements possibles : en cuir, pour un effet qui
cligne de l’œil au style minimaliste du Bauhaus, ou en velours mohair
pour davantage de confort et de douceur enveloppante. Les coussins
rouleaux insérés un à un, l’accoudoir et le dossier disponible en deux
dimensions ainsi que la tablette ronde avec surface en métal ou en béton,
proposée en différentes couleurs et finitions pour un plus grand effet
de matière, viennent compléter la structure en bois peint à pores ouverts,
dotée de pieds tournés.
