L’ergonomia è il fulcro del
progetto: i vari elementi sono
studiati per consentire il più
semplice utilizzo e per creare
un accesso facile a tutte
le funzioni; nel disegnare
Ergo_nomic ho voluto rendere
semplici e rilassanti i gesti
quotidiani nella zona bagno
evocando un concetto di
benessere pratico e funzionale.
Biografia
Nato nel 1953, laureato in medicina
e chirurgia, appassionato di
regate, mondo che gli permette di
conoscere e approfondire alcuni
materiali tecnici. Questo è stato il
punto di partenza per progettare,
inizialmente oggetti solo per sé
stesso e successivamente piccole
serie dedicate al pubblico.
Negli anni numerosi progetti
hanno vinto gli International
Awards. Dal 2008 si dedica
completamente alla progettazione.

Per Hole mi sono ispirata
all’immagine di un pozzo
interpretando in chiave
contemporanea un sistema che
per secoli ha permesso all’uomo
di poter disporre dell’acqua.
Il lavabo diventa un moderno
pozzo di forma morbida e pura.
Il bacino nero e i contenitori
circolari evocano i mastelli
con cui si riempivano
le antiche tinozze.
Biografia
Susanna Mandelli, industrial
e interior designer, vive e lavora
a Bologna. Diplomata presso
l’International School of Design
ha collaborato con diversi
negozi di arredamento e studi
di architettura in Italia. Nel 2010
intraprende la libera professione
ed inizia la sua collaborazione
con importanti aziende nel
settore dell’illuminazione.
Successivamente assume
la direzione artistica dello
studio ID Insidesign.
Unico
Nel progetto Boma si
riconoscono linee morbide,
curve sinuose che definiscono
lo spazio con rimandi alle onde
del mare e all’archetipo della
barca, ricostruita idealmente
nella vasca da bagno. Per il piatto
Unico con doghe, i lavabi con
cassetto, la vasca pannellabile
e la vasca Unico a Giorno
le geometrie semplici giocano
con volumi primari alternando
pieni, vuoti e inserti di vari
materiali. Punto di partenza sono

che possono essere assemblati,
termoformati e nel caso
del Korakril

anche stampati.

Imago Design è il laboratorio
creativo fondato nel 1993
e coordinato dall’Architetto
Gian Luca Perissinotto
e l’Architetto Paolo Zanetti.
Lo Studio riunisce architetti,
designer e art director che
elaborano strategie integrate
di comunicazione aziendale
operando in tutti i settori
della progettazione
(industrial design, interior
design, retail e graphic design).
Nei diversi progetti per Rexa
design ho cercato di raccontare
i tanti significati che la stanza
da bagno può assumere:
da quello più intimista di
Esperanto – nascono così
le consolle-toelette – a quello
più socievole di Fonte, ispirato
all’Ofuro e Onsen giapponese
e legato alla condivisione dello
stesso spazio dove si svolgono
contemporaneamente le
medesime azioni. Con Hammam
invece ho voluto rappresentare
il desiderio di riscoprire ed
entrare nuovamente in contatto
con la propria ancestralità,
l’amore per la materia, l’acqua,
la luce e il calore...
Ogni collezione interpreta
il mondo delle attività possibili
in questo ambiente, con un
taglio sensoriale ed emozionale,
perché oltre ad essere
la stanza delle funzioni dedicate
alla cura personale, il bagno
è anche il luogo di incontro
con il sé e con l’altro.

Monica Graffeo vive e lavora
a Pordenone. Dal 1998 si occupa
di progettazione, art direction
e design strategico. Per Rexa
ha progettato la collezione Fonte
ed è art director dell’azienda
dal 2014. Ha ricevuto alcuni
importanti riconoscimenti:
il premio Young & Design 2003
e 2004, il Good Design Award
del Chicago Atheneum Museum
of Architecture 2005, entra nell’ADI
Design Index del 2009 e del 2011.
In several projects for Rexa
Design I tried to tell the many
meanings that the bathroom can
take: from the most intimate of
Esperanto – born as the console-
toilets – to the more sociable
Fonte, inspired by the Japanese
Ofuro and Onsen related to
the sharing of the same space
where you perform the same
actions simultaneously. With
Hammam instead I wanted to
represent the desire to discover
and to re-connect with our
own ancestry, love for material,
water, light and warmth...
Every collection interprets the
world of the possible activities
in this environment, with a
sensory and emotional cut,
because besides being the
function room dedicated to
personal care, the bathroom
is also the meeting place with
the self and with others.
Biography
Monica Graffeo lives and works
in Pordenone. Since 1998 she has
been taking care of projects, art
direction and strategic design.
For Rexa she designed the Fonte
collection and since 2014 she is
the art director of the company.
She received some important
rewards: the Young & Design
2003 and 2004 Awards, the Good
Design Award of the Chicago
Atheneum Museum of Architecture
2005, she takes part of the ADI
Design Index 2009 and 2011.
For Hole, I was inspired by the
image of a well interpreting in a
contemporary key a system that
for centuries has allowed man to
be able to have water. Therefore,
the washbasin becomes a
modern well with a soft, pure
shape. The black basin and round
containers evoke the troughs
with which old tubs were filled.
Biography
An industrial and interior designer,
Susanna Mandelli lives and works
in Bologna (Italy). She graduated at
the International School of Design
and cooperated with several
furniture shops and architectural
firms in Italy. In 2010, she started
her career as a freelancer, starting
to cooperate with major companies
in the lighting industry. Later,
she became artistic director
of the ID Insidesign firm.
Ergonomics is the core of the
project: the various elements
have been designed to ensure
ease of use and to facilitate
access to all functions. In
designing Ergo_nomic, I wanted
to make everyday gestures in
the bathroom area simple and
relaxing, evoking a practical and
functional lling a practical and
functional concept of well-being.
Biography
Born in 1953, he graduated
