Station F has broken all the records. Built in

1929 by Eugène Freyssinet, this former SNCF

hall is classified as a historical monument

for its one-of-a-kind prestressed concrete

structure. Masterfully renovated by interior

furniture designer Jean-Michel Wilmotte,

it now houses a thousand start-ups. It is a

hive where more than three thousand young

entrepreneurs work every day between

relaxing breaks that they take on these

oversized seats.

Designer Jean-Michel Wilmotte deliberately

designed the KingSofa in an XXL format,

its production having been subject to

a consultation launched by The Great

Hospitality. After a competition involving

At twelve meters long and streamlined like

the Nautilus, the KingSofa truly looks like

a submarine. This is also the code name

given to it by its manufacturer, Ligne Roset

Contract. Made in six copies, this specimen

sits majestically in the 365,000 square feet of

Station F, the largest incubator in the world,

located in Paris and owned by Xavier Niel,

the head of Free.
