What we do (and why)

On the shores of Lake Orta in northern Italy, under the lead-

ership of Enrico and Elena Magistro, QuadroDesign de-

signs, manufactures and distributes taps of essential de-

sign made of 100% AISI316L stainless steel. It has been

doing so since 2001, when design was hardly considered in

the bathroom environment and when giving up brass im-

plied a revolution in traditional taps manufacturing. A risky

choice, that QuadroDesign made to pursue a strong envi-

ronmental focus and vocation. Stainless steel, especially

when used “bare”, is in fact a noble material with a very

low impact. During production, because it does not require

chrome plating or other polluting coatings; during use,

because it does not corrode in contact with water and does

not release harmful elements; and at the end of its life,

because it can be recycled. Even though a stainless steel

faucet by QuadroDesign is designed to last forever.

Sulle sponde del Lago d’Orta nel nord Italia, sotto la guida

duce e distribuisce in tutto il mondo rubinetti dal design es-

senziale realizzati al 100% in acciaio inossidabile

AISI316L. Lo fa dal 2001, quando il design era ancora pres-

soché assente dall’ambiente bagno e quando rinunciare

all’ottone per la rubinetteria implicava una rivoluzione della

manifattura tradizionale. Una scelta rischiosa, che

QuadroDesign non ha esitato a compiere in nome di una for-

te vocazione ambientalista. L’acciaio inossidabile utiliz-

zato “a nudo”

è infatti un materiale nobile e a bassissimo

impatto. Durante il processo produttivo, perché non ri-

chiede cromature e rivestimenti inquinanti; durante l’utiliz-

zo, perché non corrode a contatto con l’acqua e non

rilascia elementi nocivi; e a fine vita, perché può essere ri-

ciclato. Anche se un rubinetto in acciaio inossidabile

di QuadroDesign è progettato per durare per sempre.
