È da una duplice intuizione che prende forma la filosofia di Mutina. La necessità di sublimare

l’essenza della ceramica attraverso superfici caratterizzate da grande tattilità, è sicuramente uno dei cardini

fondamentali della ricerca e delle origini dell’azienda. Chiamare i più importanti nomi del design a confron-

tarsi con questo nuovo, seppur antico, approccio ha suggellato un patto magico, un dialogo perfetto. Grazie a

questo passo fondamentale, Mutina intraprende un percorso inedito insieme a Michael Anastassiades, Edward

Barber e Jay Osgerby, Ronan ed Erwan Bouroullec, Nathalie Du Pasquier, Konstantin Grcic, Hella Jongerius,

Laboratorio Avallone, OEO Studio, Raw Edges, Patricia Urquiola, Vincent Van Duysen e Tokujin Yoshioka.

Lo scopo comune è sfidare le regole della ceramica non solo in termini di scala, texture e composizione, ma

di creatività e sperimentazione.

The philosophy of Mutina takes shape from a dual intuition. The need to sublimate the essence of

ceramics through surfaces characterized by great tactility is certainly one of the fundamental cornerstones

of the company’s research and origins. Inviting the most important names in design to engage with this new,

albeit ancient, approach has sealed a magical pact, a perfect dialogue. Thanks to this pivotal step, Mutina em-

barks on an unprecedented journey alongside Michael Anastassiades, Edward Barber and Jay Osgerby, Ronan

and Erwan Bouroullec, Nathalie Du Pasquier, Konstantin Grcic, Hella Jongerius, Laboratorio Avallone, OEO

Studio, Raw Edges, Patricia Urquiola, Vincent Van Duysen, and Tokujin Yoshioka. The common purpose is

to challenge the rules of ceramics not only in terms of scale, texture, and composition but also in terms of

creativity and experimentation.
