Gubbio, a historic Umbrian town, is our
home. It all starts here: from inspiration to
vision, through hard work and dedication,
until the final result is achieved. Here, the
tradition of building, linked to the craft of the
stonecutter and the University of Masons, is
synonymous with artisan identity unchanged
from generation to generation. An art that
becomes science, when it comes to stone
technology; research, because it is founded
in the past without self-reference; beauty,
which rhymes with value and love for what
the earth offers us. This is where our stone
comes from, in the green heart of Italy,
Umbria.
The stone-making process
The starting point is to recreate what is
already present in nature. It can be a stone
characteristic of the Italian territory or from
another part of the world. Inspiration comes
in different ways. We then move on to the
meticulous study of the real stone, from
which we create a cast that allows us to
reproduce the piece in every detail. It follows
a process of handcrafted colouring, aimed
at recreating shades and traits of time that
make each individual piece unique, different
from the others. Essentially, ours is a
differentiated mass production that perfectly
captures the multiplicity and uniqueness of
natural formations. Everything takes place
in the Gubbio production district: this is why
we can proudly claim to be the only Italian
company that independently implements
every stage of the production chain. With
our naturally reconstructed stone, we
wish to offer a sustainable alternative to
natural stone, which does not damage
our environment, but which preserves and
respects it, and which is the result of a work
carried out entirely in Italy.
