Introducing Mater’s debut lighting series crafted

from MatekTM - Mater’s innovative recycled material.

The series comprises a pendant lamp, a wall lamp,

and a portable lamp that can be used inside as well as

outside, lighting up a garden dinner table.

The lamps’ refined, minimalist aesthetic is the work

of OEO Studio, a well-established design partner of

Mater. The collaboration is characterised by a shared

commitment to sustainable design and a passion for

exploring the creative potential of innovative materi-

als like MatekTM.

MatekTM is a solid, opaque material, making it an

unconventional material for lighting. However, this

challenge became the foundation for OEO Studio’s

distinctive design approach. The seamless integration

of joints and technical elements into the production

process enables a clean, uninterrupted form, while

the tactility of the MatekTM material lends the series a

fresh and intriguing expression.
