INSTALLATION/TREATMENT/MAINTENANCE
Installation instruction:
Cotto Ramazzotti needs to be laid with a cementitious adhesive, please paying attention not to contaminate the surface of the
material.
The size of joint can be chosen by the client.
Please remember that this is an handmade product, so it needs to be care-
fully fixed.
We recommend a larger joint for hexagonal pieces as sides could have
some irregularities.
- Clean the surface with Hydrorep ECO*
Warning: If you chose a coloured cement morta, please replace Hydrivep ECO* with W68*
- The grout must be made with a cement plaster (colour to be chosen by the client).
Proceed to grout by small area of approx. 2 sq.m.
Cleaning the surface
Please note: Once the floor has been dried, you may notice a slight yellowish efflorescence on some colours (especially on
White and Blue)
This is a natural process that disappears, without recurrence, after washing the surface with Deterdek*.
- Proceed to clean with water and Deterdek* in the proportions recommended by the manufacturer.
- Apply two layer of W68* letting the surface drying between them.
Wax finishing can be chosen and applied following personal taste:
- CLASSIC*: natural shiny effect
- SATIN*: satin effect
Alternatively, for a patinated effect, it is possible to lay a single hand of W68*, then proceed with the product PT10*.
Maintenance:
Wash the floor as usual.
It is recommended once a year to wash the floor with the same wax according to the manufacturer's instructions.
