COMPACTNESS:
Traditional terracotta looks like a porous material that carries small
cavities inside
.
This aspect can also be found through hearing: hitting it lightly wil
l
result in a dull sound
.
ABSORBANCE
:
Terracotta is an absorbent material, the presence of numerous
cavities increases this aspect.
MAINTENANCE
:
after laying, the terracotta is protected with filming products, this
cancels its natural transpiration. Every 2/3 years extraordinar
y
maintenance must be carried out: the terracotta must be dewaxed,
washed with a suitable detergent, reprocessed and waxed again.
The intervention must be carried out by qualified personnel
.
POLISHING ON SITE
:
On-site polishing is possible.
COMPACTNESS
:
Cotto Zero is much more compact than a traditional cotto.
The use of very fine clays, the hard dough and the subsequent pressing greatly reduc
e
the presence and size of the cavities
.
Hitting it lightly will produce a different, almost crystalline sound
.
Cotto Zero has a mechanical resistance 3 times higher than a traditional cotto
.
ABSORBENCE
:
Cotto Zero absorbs 70% less than traditional cooked.
The reduced absorbency makes Cotto Zero particularly resistant to stains.
MAINTENANCE:
After installation, our terracotta is treated with impregnating products capable
of protecting the surface while maintaining normal breathability
.
The breathability of natural materials is an important well-being feature
.
Normal daily cleaning and washing with a neutral detergent.
If necessary, about once a year, it is possible to dilute a cap of water-soluble wax in wate
r
and proceed with a normal washing.
POLISHING ON SITE
:
On-site polishing it is possible.
