INTERVIEW

private homes. It is a collection with soul, that transmits

this close relationship with nature, the earth, water,

plants and birds. In short, life...

Who is it intended for?

LRV: It is a fairly universal collection, although

I also think it captures the attention of those people who

live while paying attention to detail, who want to have

pieces in their homes that go beyond their function. It

is ideal for men and women who are open to perceiving

sensations.

What makes it different from the rest of the bathroom

accessory collections? It is the materials, its design or

a combination of both?

LRV: It is different from the rest for the very

reasons we have just mentioned. On the one hand, be-

cause of its close relationship with nature, and on the

other, for how its design delicately calls to mind part

of this nature. The perfection of its forms and finish-

es contributes to completing this sensation that you

have something special in the bathroom. It is one of

the rooms, along with the bedroom, where there are

the most moments for intimacy. If you are surrounded

by beautiful objects, you will have a greater feeling of

well-being.

Because of your work, you are in contact with many

different brands. How do you see the brands dedicated

to the bathroom sector, and specifically, POMD'OR?

LRV: POMD'OR has always got my attention

for the great variety of its pieces and its universalistic

selection criteria. It is a brand with timeless collections

and it has enough expertise to give distinctive touches

to the pieces it creates, so you are always going to have

the sensation of getting your hands on a unique piece

that is practically custom-made for you.

One source of inspiration for your work are your travels.

You focus on details that perhaps other people would

not notice. Do you think you have a gift?

LRV: Many things date back to when I was a

child. I am Catalonian, but I grew up in Bilbao. I was

immersed in a certain way of living, something I don't

really know how to describe, but that is somehow re-

lated to the Basque Country, which is full of entrepre-

neurial families, and I developed some skills that form

part of me. However, it is true that if you don’t have

this sensitivity, you simply don’t have it... I travel a

lot, yes, and I see many things. I interact with a lot of

people, especially because of our hospitality projects,

and everything I discover, I internalise.

How do you translate your sensitivity for beauty to the

rest of your team?

LRV: I always try to transmit this sensitivity

so that the studio follows the same line, and I have to

say that this transmission does not travel in a single
