Velario deve il suo nome all’antico tendaggio che, in epoca romana,

proteggeva dal sole teatri e an

fiteatri.

Il pro

filo del letto rilegge con forme asciutte e attuali l’antica tecnica del

ferro forgiato, mentre la sua leggera copertura tessile richiama l’estetica

delle vele. I montanti della struttura, a sezione circolare, presentano sulla

sommità degli occhielli tondi che permettono il

fissaggio del telo di lino, sul

cui tono naturale risalta una fine stampa geometrica.

La testiera del letto, interamente sfoderabile,

è imbottita e rivestita con un

tessuto in maglia. Il letto è realizzato in ferro pieno tondo da 30 millimetri,

battuto e forgiato a mano e poi lasciato in purezza. Il tessuto è di puro lino

non tinto; la stampa sulla superficie è digitale, di color ruggine.

Velario owes its name to the ancient awning that, in Roman times,

shielded theatres and amphitheatres from the sun.

The bed profile reinterprets the ancient technique of forged iron with

clean and contemporary forms, while its light textile covering recalls

the aesthetics of sails. The uprights of the structure, circular in section,

feature round eyelets at the top that allow for the attachment of the linen

cloth, whose natural tone highlights a subtle geometric print.

The headboard, entirely removable, is upholstered and covered with

a knitted fabric. The bed is crafted from 30 millimetres solid round

iron, hand-wrought and forged, then left in its pure state. The fabric

is authentic undyed linen, with a digital print on the surface in a rust-

coloured tone.
