La nuova Itka è una rilettura del bestseller Itka, presentato nel 2004, che
introduce un nuovo elemento nella già ampia e diversificata famiglia.
La nuova Itka parte dai punti di forza che hanno reso la famiglia Itka una
delle più apprezzate nel catalogo Danese Light e con pochi interventi
mirati la trasforma.
Un basamento cilindrico rialza l’elegante diffusore in vetro soffiato a mano
creando una versione di altezza intermedia tra le attuali da appoggio e
tavolo. Questa si diversifica però soprattutto pi
ù che per l’aspetto estetico
per le variazioni materiche e l’innovazione tecnologica nella sorgente.
Da sempre Itka è caratterizzata da un una forma semplice ed iconica
che lavora sulla sottrazione e ne fa un oggetto senza tempo, indifferente
all’alternarsi delle mode.
L’attenzione al lungo termine porta alla scelta di materiali nobili e duraturi:
il basamento è realizzato in marmo o in ceramica.
Nella versione in marmo le peculiari venature dei materiali rendono ogni

à evidente in Itka dove il vetro utilizzato ha un touch
vellutato, particolarmente piacevole, che crea una nuova relazione tattile

rivelandosi quindi una soluzione perfetta dal punto di vista tecnologico e

Questa però si fonde ad una rielaborazione della materia luce attuale ed
innovativa: una sorgente led studiata per garantire un’emissione uniforme
prende il posto della tradizionale sorgente fluorescente con un’ottima
coincidenza di performance e risparmio energetico.
Anche questa è una scelta a favore del lungo termine, il led garantisce
infatti una vita utile ben superiore a quella delle tradizionali sorgenti.

The new Itka is an evolution of the bestseller Itka, which was presented
in 2004, introducing a new element to the already wide and diversified
family.
The driving force behind Itka Base is the same that has made the
Itka family one of the most appreciated families in the Danese Light
catalogue. The changes are few but the new product brings novelty and
certainly enriches the line.
A cylindrical base raises the elegant hand-blown glass diffuser creating
a medium-high version between the existing countertop and table
versions. It looks different yet the materials used and the technology
applied are pretty much the same.
Itka has always been characterized by a simple and iconic shape
that works on subtraction principles and by being a timeless object,
indifferent to fashion trends.
The project strives on the choice of high quality, durable materials: the
base is made out of marble or ceramic.
In the marble version, the distinctive grain of the materials makes
each piece unique and vibrant at the same time, enhancing perceptual
features already evident in Itka. Here the glass that is used feels like soft
velvet, creating a new perceptive relationship with light.
The ceramic version instead, besides featuring excellent aesthetic and
sensory properties, actively contributes to containing dissipation,
providing the perfect solution in terms of technology and LED efficiency.
The introduction of these “classic” materials is a tribute to the history of
Danese production, in which the best craftsmen have worked over time.
Furthermore, the product features an innovative approach to light. A LED
source has been designed to ensure uniformity emission taking the place
of traditional fluorescent lamps, guaranteeing excellent performance
output and significant energy savings.
This is also a choice in favor of long-term objectives. The LED lasts
longer than traditional sources.
Technological choices and quality craftsmanship coexist and reinforce
Itka’s lifetime. A variety of products that responds very well to a full range
