Ianus è un elemento scultoreo che riflette l’ambiente in cui è inserito

grazie ai suoi fianchi specchiati.

È costituito da un profilo a “L” in cui il fronte esterno è perfettamente

specchiante mentre l’interno è bianco e riflette in modo diffuso la luce

emessa da una strip led applicata su un sottilissimo profilo. Questo è

anch’esso specchiante, è posto di fronte al profilo principale, e si estende

lungo tutta la sua altezza così da ottenere un effetto di luce perfettamente

uniforme.

Ogni dettaglio è studiato per garantire un’illuminazione corretta non

solo dal punto di vista percettivo ma anche sotto il profilo del bilancio

enegetico.

Pur lavorando con un’emissione indiretta lo spreco di luce è minimo, viene

infatti utilizzata una speciale vernice con un indice di riflettanza del 98%.

È una scultura di luce che spenta riflette l’ambiente, accesa si anima

di¬ventando protagonista dello spazio con la sua luce morbida.

Interagisce con lo spazio rivolgendo le sue due facce in ogni direzione:

può essere rivolto direttamente nell’ambiente o far riflettere la luce

emessa sulle pareti della stanza illuminando così in modo più morbido e

diffuso tutto lo spazio.

Ianus is a sculptural element whose mirrored sides reflect the

surrounding environment.

Its profile looks like an “L”: the outer side is a perfect mirror while the

inside is white and reflects diffused light emitted by a strip LED applied

on a very thin profile. This profile is mirrored too and is placed opposite

to the main profile. It extends along its entire height ensuring a perfectly

uniform lighting.

Every detail is designed to ensure proper light not only from a perceptual

point of view, but also in terms of energetic consumption.

In spite of the indirect emission of light, the wastage is minimal. It is in

fact used as a special paint with a 90% reflectivity.

When the light is on, this sculpture made of soft light becomes the

absolute protagonist of the place. When the light is off, Ianus creates a

completely different scenario by simply reflecting what is around.

Turning its two faces in all directions, allows the interaction with space.

It reflects the environment and also directs the light emitted on the walls

of the room creating a softer and more diffuse illumination.
