LE KLINT today

We consider it our responsibility at Le Klint to inspir

e

and assist in making responsible choices. When i

t

comes to sustainability, we do not simply focus on

a

single product or material, we take the whole process

into consideration then strive to act as responsibly a

s

possible. Another important factor, is a lamp’s lifespan

after it has been sold. We want our lamps to hav

e

longevity and to be passed on to future generations

,

with the possibility of being, repaired if necessary

.

Sustainable desig

n

We do not follow fast trends but rather work to hit

trends that are both timeless in their function, materials,

colours and shapes. Often we are actually told that ou

r

lamps from the 40s, 50s and 60s still has a moder

n

expression, making them easy to remain hanging i

n

homes for many decades, where the next generation

also gets the opportunity to appreciate their beaut

y

due to the ingenuity of their classic and timeless design

.

Made in Odense

We are proud that we have maintained production

in Odense, since 1943 where the company began

.

We believe that both pleating and folding is very special

techniques which is why we have decided to preserv

e

handcrafting lamps and lampshades, way into th

e

unforeseeable future. At Le Klint, it takes about a yea

r

to learn the technique then two-three years to master

all models in our range. We stand by our decision that

Le Klint is a “Made in Odense” company, and we will

continue to be so

.

Quality and Material

s

In addition to producing designs with aesthetics i

n

mind, it is important to us that the design is made

of the best quality materials to last a lifetime. You

r

lamp can be serviced and repaired to last for the

enjoyment of another generation. We believe that

the longevity of a lamp, is an important part of the

concept of sustainability.

We only use good, solid and honest materials, ideally

sourced from local suppliers to reduce our carbo

n

footprint while supporting local producers. We contrac

t

and commit to subcontractors that are based on

a

mutual respect for quality and social responsibility an

d

we expect our collaborative partners to respect al

l

environmental conscious guidelines including the

handling of material waste and disposal, responsibly.
