Founded in 1972, the Josef & Anni Albers

Foundation is dedicated to the preservation,

study, and dissemination of the legacy of two o

f

themost significant figures of twentieth-centur

y

modernism. Pioneers in the exploration of colour

,

form, and perception, the Alberses profoundly

redefined the relationship between artwork and

observer, leaving a legacy that the Foundation

continues to advance through exhibitions, publica-

tions, educational programs, and public initiatives

At the core of its mission, as articulated by the

artists themselves, lies the aim of fosterin

Fondata nel 1972, la Josef & Anni Albers Founda
