WARNING!

Before wiring work is carried out on the device, the

system must be de-energised! Never touch the wires

or the connections of the device. Any wiring or inser-

tion of terminals when energised can destroy the

device and result in dangerous electric shocks.

Installation and commissioning must only be carried

out by specialist personnel with sufficient qualifica-

tions. Observe the applicable accident prevention

provisions, the relevant standards and regulations.

The device is not a replacement for the safety equip-

ment to be provided on-site.

Mains connection regulations

The electrical installation and safeguarding are to comply with local

regulations.

n With regard to stationary equipment, a cut-off device is to be

installed in order to disconnect such equipment from the mains in

accordance with the installation provisions as per EN 60335.

n The spacing or the insulation vis-à-vis any heat sources is to be

selected in such a way that the permissible ambient temperature

is not exceeded during operation (

Ä Chapter 8 ‘Technical data’

on page 51).

n Connections between sensors, remote adjusters, remote con-

trols, data bus etc. and the device are to be installed in a sepa-

rate location from power lines.

n With regard to inductive loads (contactors, relays, mixer drives

etc.), interference suppression by means of RC module coils can

be recommended. (Recommendation 47 nF/ 100

Ω, 250 VAC)

During normal operation, the device is to be continuously energised

to ensure that it is ready for operation at any time. For this reason,

upstream mains switches are to be limited to emergency or main

switches, which are usually left in the operating position.
