Machu Picchu (Old Mountain) is an Inca archaeological site located in Perù, precisely, in
the valley of Urubamba 2430 m above sea level, where the excavations took place in 1911.
Machu Picchu is, universally, recognized thanks to both its massive ruins and impressive
views that is visible from the valley underneath. It is included in the heritage of the humanity
drawn up by UNESCO. In addition, in 2007, Machu Picchu was elected one of the Modern
World’s Seven Wonders.
