Vincent Van Duysen

Vincent Van Duysen's project, Intersection,

is a kitchen that exudes a strong expressive

character while showcasing the brand's

excellence in material processing. Van

Duysen was inspired by the great masters,

Piet Mondrian and Carlo Scarpa for the

use of geometric compositions and for the

refined materials. Intersection offers a versa-

tile system that allows for endless linear,

corner, or island compositions, where the

interplay of surfaces and worktops creates

captivating plays of light and shadow. The

inlay work on the doors enhances the

materiality of the essences and elevates

the lacquered surfaces to architectural

heights, dominated by geometric propor-

tions. The snack element presents inter-

secting vein surfaces, resulting in a sleek

and rational profile. The worktop itself

takes center stage in the design, featur-

ing a new 50 mm thick design. This

sculptural detail incorporates a chan-

nel below its edge, enabling doors and

drawers to open seamlessly without

handles. Intersection is available in a wide

range of essences and finishings and in a

monomateric version, where the fascina-

tion of monolithic objects made of a single

material has inspired Vincent Van Duysen,

to create a unique, sculptural, and archi-

tectural object. This is the result of meticu-

lous technical research made by the Dada

Engineered R&D Department.

sen, è una cucina dal forte carattere espres-

sivo e dettagli ricercati che evidenziano

l’eccellenza del brand nella lavorazione

della materia. Vincent Van Duysen trova

ispirazione nei grandi maestri Piet Mon-

drian e Carlo Scarpa per l’uso di composi-

zioni geometriche e per i materiali e dettagli

raffinati. Intersection è un sistema versatile

che propone una gamma infinita di com-

posizioni lineari, angolari ad isola, dove

superfici e piani di lavoro creano giochi di

luce ed ombra. Intarsi sulle ante esaltano la

matericità dell’essenza e nobilitano la plasti-

cità delle superfici laccate, con un disegno

di memoria architettonica dominato dalla

proporzione geometrica. L'elemento snack

presenta superfici in essenza caratterizzate

da venature che si intersecano fino a forma-

re un piacevole profilo lineare e razionale. Il

top diventa l'elemento generatore del pro-

getto,contraddistintodaunnuovodisegno

dallo spessore di 50mm. Disegnato come

undettaglioscultoreo,creanellaparteinfe-

riore una gola che permette ad ante e cas-

setti di aprirsi senza la necessità di maniglie.

Intersection è disponibile in un'ampia gam-

ma di essenze e finiture e in una versione

monomaterica dove il fascino dell'elemento

monolitico realizzato in un unico materiale

ha ispirato Vincent Van Duysen, per creare

un oggetto esclusivo, scultoreo e architet-

tonico. Questo è il risultato di una meticolo-

sa ricerca tecnica condotta dalla divisione

R&D Dada Engineered.
