MATERIAL MAINTENANCE GUIDE
Cipí warranty is applicable only when the above-mentioned conditions are
met.
SOLID SURFACE (LG-HiMAcs® IStone - Betacryl- Corian)
- BASINS, FURNITURE AND ACCESSORIES
Daily care: wipe furniture and basins with a humid cloth and mild detergent
cream or not aggressive cleanser. Always wipe in circles.
In case of stains caused by chemical products, such as acids, diluents or aceto-
ne-based products, rinse immediately with water and soap to avoid damages
to the surface. Prolonged contact with the chemicals will irremediably dama-
ge the surface.
Properties of these materials can be affected by high temperatures (60°C),
in order to avoid the appearance of small cracks, do not pour boiling water
in the basin. Scratches and light surface marks can be restored by wiping in
circle the affected part with an abrasive sponge.
Not suitable for outdoor use.
RESIN - BASINS AND ACCESSORIES
Wipe with non-aggressive cleanser, do not bleach, do not use powder deter-
gents. Do not use abrasive sponges. Rinse thoroughly.
Slightly porous material which is more prone to absorption of stains caused
by aggressive chemicals (acids, bleach, acetone, diluents, and similar...). Use
only mild cleanser, then rinse thoroughly.
Properties of these materials can be affected by high temperatures (60°C),
in order to avoid the appearance of small cracks, do not pour boiling water
in the basin. Scratches and light surface marks can be restored by wiping in
circle the affected part with an abrasive sponge.
Small differences in thickness and colour shade, light irregularities of the sur-
face or micro pores are not to be considered as defects, but they are distinctive
features of the hand-crafted basin.
Not suitable for outdoor use.
GLASS, TRANSPARENT MATERIALS - MIRRORS AND ACCESSO-
RIES
Wipe with a humid cloth and neutral cleanser, do not use abrasive sponges or
powder detergents which may affect the lustre of the surface. After cleaning,
rinse thoroughly and dry.
PLEXIGLASS EXTRA CLEAR - FURNITURE AND ACCESSORIES
Clean with cotton cloth, slightly wet with water or sprayed with products
for furniture polishing (i.e. wood polish). Avoid use of bleach or alcohol
based detergents (i.e. Glassex). Do not use abrasive sponges or powder
detergents which may affect the lustre of the surface. After cleaning, rinse
thoroughly and dry.
WOODEN BASINS AND ACCESSORIES
These basins are made from reclaimed Teak roots, therefore each piece is one
of a kind.
Given their unicity, we give to customer the possibility to select their own
Teak basin by providing pictures of available pieces before placing the order.
Restoration work is carried out in Italy from raw timber; nonetheless small
leaks can occur over time.
During the 2 year warranty period, Cipì provides free repair or replacement
of the basin, if necessary.
Cleaning and maintenance:
Clean with water and a mild cleanser, do not use aggressive detergents. To
enliven the wood colour, sand lightly with abs abrasive sponge, then apply
wax ( wax is provided with the basin) and leave on for 24 hours.
WOODEN FURNITURE AND ACCESSORIES
These pieces are hand-made from reclaimed Teak wood, Suar wood or Maho-
gany certified by Legal Wood.
Minor irregularities of the surfaces, as well as light differences in colour shade
and streaks, shall not be considered defects of natural Teak.
For Top Natura, Sarong, Tree and in general for all the pieces with natural
shapes, which are by nature different from one another, pictures can be pro-
vided before order placement, as to allow customers to select their own Teak
furniture or accessories
Cleaning and maintenance:
daily maintenance: wipe with a humid cloth and a neutral or mild detergent.
Do not use vapour steamers on it. Do not use acid or alkaline detergents.
Do not use abrasive sponges. Do not use organic solvents.
TBN: accidental stains caused by chemicals can be removed with an abra-
sive sponge or sandpaper; then, apply a coat of wax on the surface (except
for painted parts) and let rest for 24 hours. Wax and oil can be purchased
separately.
Clean with water and mild detergent. Do not use aggressive cleansers. Pe-
riodically freshen the look of wood by sanding the surface with an abrasive
sponge, then apply a coat of wax (provided with the basin) and let rest for
24 hours.
CERAMIC AND PORCELAIN BASINS
These basins are hand-made in Italy.
To maintain the look and guarantee the durability of the product, we recom-
mend to wipe it with a humid cloth and neutral detergents or mild paste. Do
not use abrasive sponges or cleansers containing hydrochloride or acetic acid,
bleach or metal silicates.
In models like Raku and Tao freestanding, light colour differences on the
external, natural surface are not defects but proofs of the artisan crafting of
the product.
STONE AND MARBLE BASINS AND ACCESSORIES
Clean with neutral detergents; in case of accidental contact with acids, sol-
vents or aggressive chemicals, immediately rinse with water.
Do not use abrasive sponges, only a regular soft sponge cloth.
Marble, River stone, Onyx or Fossil wood basins are all one of a kind pieces,
which are different from one another in shade, streaks, shape and weight.
Given their unicity, picture of these products can be provided before placing
an order, as to allow customers to select their own basin.
In Stand Up and Cylinder freestanding models, the external part of the ba-
sin structure is finished with “flint” decoration, made by assembling diffe-
rent marbles. Areas with Non-homogeneous colour, visible joints between
different sections or light variations in shade are distinctive features of artisan
crafting of these products
METAL BASINS AND ACCESSORIES
To clean and maintain properly basins and accessories of metal collections,
made either in aluminium, brass or metal alloy, we recommend to wipe them
with a humid cloth and mild detergents.
Avoid contact with products containing saline acids, methanoic acid and ace-
tic acids, which may cause irreversible damages. Do not use phosphoric acids
which may damage the surface. Do not use Chloe-based products (bleach).
Do not use tools which may scratch the surface, such as abrasive sponges or
cloth with microfibres.
Dents, chips or other damages caused by objects which compromise the inte-
grity of the surface of metal basins cannot be fixed.
COTTON AND TEXTILE COLLECTION
Bathrobes, towels and rugs of Miami and Superior collection are made in
Italy with US cotton of the highest quality.
Always use neutral, non-bleach-based detergents.
Carefully follow cleaning instructions and check symbols on labels.
Apart from terry cotton or 100% cotton rugs, we recommend to place
rugs in a cotton bag or pillowcase when using wash programs with spin
cycle. Follow instructions, do not iron them, do not dry clean them, do
not tumble dry.
