Selezione della valvola e limiti di impiego
- Velocità massima del fluido < 7 m/s (N.B.: il diametro DN della
valvola a fuso é determinato sulla base delle condizioni ope-
rative richieste e non necessariamente coincide col diametro
della tubazione. Utilizzare il diagramma velocità – portata e
selezionare preliminarmente il DN della valvola rispettando il
limite massimo di velocità del fluido. Verificare che le perdite di
carico ammesse sulla valvola siano compatibili con il diametro
selezionato. Eventualmente. scegliere un DN superiore)
- Grado di apertura per valvole di regolazione: 10 ÷ 90%
- Verificare il comportamento a cavitazione della valvola come
descritto alla sezione cavitazione.

Selection of the valves and operation limits
- Maximum speed of the fluid < 7 m/s (N.B. the diameter DN of
the needle valve is determined according to the required opera-
ting conditions and not necessarily coincides with the diameter of
the piping. Use the speed – flow chart and select preliminarily the
DN of the valve, respecting the maximum limit of the flow speed.
Check that head losses of the valve are compatible with the se-
lected diameter. If not, choose a higher DN).
- Opening angle of the needle valve/regulation valve: 10÷90%.
- Check the cavitation behaviour as described in the section “Ca-
vitation”.
