COTTO STORICO PIEMONTES

Entrando in chiese e antichi palazzi della nostro territorio capita spesso di incontrar

e

meravigliosi pavimenti in cotto.

Sono cotti molto particolari, di un colore rosato carico e intessuti di piccoli framment

i

che vanno dall’avorio al color terracotta

.

Questi cotti raccontano la quotidianità di lavorazioni artigianali eseguite mescolando l

e

principali argille locali che presentavano al loro interno tutto ciò che la natura offriva: im

-

purità, frammenti di argille diverse, piccoli ciottoli... così, quello che un tempo era sem

-

plicemente il frutto di ciò che il suolo offriva, col passare dei secoli si è trasformato in u

n

materiale ben preciso, come parte di un codice, in grado di fornirci il periodo storico d

i

riferimento della costruzione stessa.

Dopo secoli, abbiamo deciso di ridare voce al nostro cotto storico.

Questo cotto nasce per essere esteticamente affine al cotto dei nostri avi, ma carico di

tutti i plus di CottoZero.

Un cotto così prezioso e dal colore così particolare non poteva che ispirarsi ad una donna

e ad una storia d’amore; così, nelle nostre fornaci “rinasce” il cotto storico piemontese

dedicato alla “Bella Rusin

”

.

Upon entering churches and ancient palaces in our area, it often happens tha

t

one encounters wonderful terracotta floors.

They are very special terracottas, a deep pinkish color and interwoven with small frag

-

ments ranging from ivory to terracotta in color

.

These cottos tell the story of everyday craftsmanship carried out by mixing the main local

clays, which presented within them everything that nature offered: impurities, fragments

of different clays, small pebbles... thus, what was once simply the fruit of what the soi

l

offered, over the centuries has been transformed into a very precise material, as part o

f

a code, able to provide us with the historical perid of reference of the constructio

n

itself

.

After centuries, we decided to give our historic terracotta a voice again.

This cotto was born to be aesthetically akin to the cotto of our ancestors, but loaded with

all the pluses of CottoZero.

A cotto so precious and with such a special color could only be inspired by a woma

n

and a love story; thus, in our kilns "reborn" historical Piedmontese cotto dedicated to

"Bella Rusin

. "
