13.1

Shutting down the heat interface unit for a short period (<24 h)

Personnel:

n Heating and sanitary technician

1.

Close all the ball valves (Fig. 47).

ð The flow and return lines are closed.

2.

Switch off the electrical fuse of the heat interface unit and

secure it against being switched on again.

3.

Wait until the heat interface unit has cooled down.

ð The heat interface unit has been shut down for a short

period.

In order to remove an optional component from the

piping or install an equipment option in the piping,

the corresponding circuit must be drained

(

on page 61).

Shutting down the heat interface unit for an extended period (>1 month)

Close all the ball valves (Fig. 48).

ð The flow and return lines are closed.

Switch off the electrical fuse of the heat interface unit.

Drain all taps and leave them open.

Drain all of the pipes of the heat interface unit in accordance

with Ä Chapter 13.3 ‘Emptying the heat interface unit’

on page 61.

Ensure that the heat interface unit is protected against frost.

Shutting down for a short period is appropriate if

maintenance work has to be carried out on the heat

interface unit.

Shutting down for an extended period is appropriate

if the building section will not be occupied for a

lengthy period.
