2. Light your fire correctly.

If you light your fire in the correct way, then

you’re contributing to optimal combustion.

This optimal combustion in turn ensures:

- reduced particulate matter emissions

- higher efficiency

- slower consumption of your logs

M-Design recommends the Swiss heating

method:

- Place large logs on the bottom and then a

cross layer on top of them.

- Spread kindling over the logs.

- Place one or more firelighters on top and light

from above.

This ensures minimal smoke generation

because the cold chimney flue is pre-heated.

Gases and smoke from the wood underneath

are burned away first.

Once the flame is ignited, follow the following

steps:

- Leave the glass door slightly open until the

wood is burning well, and close it only then.

- Do not add wood until the logs are

completely burnt out and an ash bed has

formed.

- 1 single layer of wood is sufficient.

- Leave the secondary air supply vent fully or

partially open during combustion.

- Once the combustion process has ended,

allow the fire to cool down completely with

the door closed and the air supply vent open.

2. Richtig anzünden.

Wenn Sie das Feuer auf die richtige Art und Weise

anzünden, tragen Sie zu einer optimalen Verbrennung

bei. Diese optimale Verbrennung wiederum

gewährleistet:

- geringere Feinstaubemissionen

- höherer Wirkungsgrad

- geringerer Verbrauch Ihres Holzes

M-Design empfiehlt deshalb die Schweizer

Heizmethode:

- Große Blöcke auf den Boden legen und dann eine

Kreuzschicht obenauf.

- VerteilenSieAnzündholzüberdieHolzblöcke.

- Einen oder mehrere Anzünder auflegen und von

oben anzünden.

Dies gewährleistet eine minimale Rauchentwicklung,

weil der kalte Schornstein vorgeheizt wird. Die Gase

und der Rauch des darunter liegenden Holzes sind

zuerst weggebrannt.

Sobald die Flamme entzündet ist, gehen Sie wie folgt

vor Schritte:

- Lassen Sie die Glastür leicht offen, bis das Holz gut

brennt, und schließen Sie sie dann.

- Holz erst nachlegen, wenn die Holzblöcke vollständig

ausgebrannt sind und sich ein Aschebett

gebildet hat.

- 1einzigeHolzschichtistausreichend.

- Lassen Sie während der Verbrennung die sekundäre

Luftzufuhr ganz oder teilweise geöffnet.

- Ist der Verbrennungsprozess beendet? Lassen

Sie das Feuer bei geschlossener Tür vollständig

abkühlen und halten Sie die Luftzufuhr geöffnet.
