DESIGNER PORTRAIT MADS ODGÅRD

The Danish designer Mads Odgård (1960) is a leading figure in a new

generation of international designers. He is a minimalist and a 'less is

more’ man. With an educational background from The Royal Danish

Academy of Fine Arts, Denmark’s Design school and Art Center Europe,

Switzerland, Odgård is one of Denmark's most sought-after designers.

Since 1988, The Mads Odgård Design Studio has focused on product

design with the mission to improve that which already exists and most

importantly, gives the user spontaneous delight. According to Odgård,

“design should be human and logical in form". Mads Odgård has won

many prestigious awards including the German Design Council Award

and Red Dot Germany.

DESIGNER PORTRAIT LIONEL DOYEN

Lionel Doyen is specialised in service, product and

industrial design and product development. Since he

launched his own studio in September 2013 , he aims to

establish a more personal, more experimental approach

to product design and development. In partnership with

companies like Manutti, he hopes to promote a more

comprehensive strategy, taking into consideration the

customer’s relationship with the product and its use,

the innovative aspects and implementation more than

simply its aesthetic appeal.
