Circulation pump runtimes
The circulation pump WWC is activated via a brief tapping process. If
the flow rate [V] is
of time ZIR10 RUNTIME CIRC.PULSECON. WWC is then blocked for the
period of time ZIR11 OFFTIME. The runtime must be adapted to the
volume of the pipe network in order to make it possible to heat the
circulation pipe.
Under ZIR12, each mode can be temporally restricted by means of a
weekly time program with multiple switching phases. During “POWER
OFF TIME”, the circulation pump is controlled by means of tap support.
As an option, the circulation pump can be controlled via the active
circulation mode or via tap support when the water tapping is active.
Whether circulation mode is active during tapping can be set under
ZIR13 CIRC. MODE WHEN TAPPED:
n 0: on Circulation mode is always active during tapping
n 1: off Circulation mode is always inactive during tapping
When circulation mode ZIR00 has been activated, the tap support
function is automatically active. This function activates the circula-
tion pump to increase the flow rate and improve the control quality.
If the circulation pump has not already been activated by circulation
mode, the circulation pump starts up as soon as the volume flow is
greater than STE15 MIN FLOW RATE. If the flow rate decreases to the
calibrated circulation flow rate (plus tolerance) for a certain period of
time, the circulation pump stops again.
The circulation volume ZIR07 FLOW RATE CIRCULATION is the
throughput when the WWC circulation pump is active and there is
no tapping.
The value ZIR07 FLOW RATE CIRCULATION can be entered in l/min or be
determined by the calibration ZIR06 CIRC. CALIBRATION, see
Ä Chapter
6.5 ‘Calibration of the circulation volume’ on page 39.
If the flow rate moves in the range of maximum flow rate (switch-
off threshold) ZIR09 MAX FLOW TAP SUPPORT minus tolerance ZIR05
TOLERANCE CALI. CIRC, a 3-minute timer starts. Once this time has
elapsed, the WWC circulation pump is stopped in order to determine
the current flow rate.
In order to avoid unnecessary cycles of the WWC circulation pump,
a minimum runtime ZIR11 RUNTIME CIRC.PULSECON and a minimum off
time ZIR12 OFFTIME CIRC.PULSECON are active.
