Valvole a ghigliottina/ Knife gate valves
SOSTITUZIONE TENUTE SERIE 18.000 (Fig. 4)
a. Rimuovere la valvola dalla conduttura.
b. Togliere le viti (1) che fissano lo stelo alla lama.
c. Togliere le viti (2) che fissano le colonne (3) al corpo (5).
d. Rimuovere la parte superiore della valvola.
e. Rimuovere le viti (4) e separare i due semicorpi (5).
f. Verificare le condizioni della tenuta a U (6) posta
tra i due semicorpi e se necessario sostituirla.
g. Verificare le condizioni delle tenute (7) tra corpo e lama
poste alloggiate nella parte superiore dei semicorpi
e se necessario sostituirle.
h. Assemblare i due semicorpi con la tenuta a U.
Le coppie di serraggio delle viti (8) sono:

the 2 parts of the semi bodies and replace it, if necessary.
g. Check the conditions of the seals (7) between the body
and gate, located in the upper part of the semi bodies
and replace them, if necessary.
Dismantle the valve from the plant.
Remove the screws (1) fixing the stem to the gate.
Remove the screws (2) fixing the plates (3) to the body (5).
Remove the upper part of the valve.
Remove the screws (4) and split the 2 semi bodies (5).
Check the condition of the “U” seal (6) between
h. Assemble the 2 parts of the semi bodies, installing
the “U” seal.
The torque for tightening the screws is:

(ad es. grasso al silicone o Molykote).
k. Eseguire, se possibile una prova idrostatica prima di porre la val-
vola in servizio.
l. Alla messa in funzione della valvola controllare la tenuta tra corpo
e lama nella parte superiore della valvola.
Se si verificasse una perdita è possibile serrare ulteriormente le viti
(9) di precarico; serrare le viti/dadi in croce e rispettare le coppie
indicate. Al termine fissare con i controdadi:
Re-assemble the valve, carrying out points a-d above, in reverse
order.
j. Grease the nut and screw with neutral, water-repellent grease (for
example, silicone grease or Molykote).
k. Before putting the valve back in operation, carry out a hydrostatic
test, if possible.
l. Check the seal between the body and gate in the upper part of the
valve while putting the valve in operating.
In the event of leaks, the adjustment screws (9) may be tightened a
little; tighten the screws crosswise and do not exceed the indicated
torque. To finish, fix with counter nuts.
